Utah-based firm Spotter Global is aiming to outpace conventional electronically scanned array (ESA) systems with a new holographic 3D radar designed to scan the entire sky up to 32 times faster.
Called the GAX500-3D, the device weighs less than 4 kilograms (8.8 pounds) and is about the size of a small briefcase at 16.32 x 9.69 x 4.23 inches (41.45 x 24.61 x 10.74 centimeters).
It offers a detection range of up to 500 meters (1,640 feet) for small drones.
