One of the world’s most widely used machine guns is getting a battlefield refresh.
Belgian firearms manufacturer FN Herstal has unveiled the FN MAG TACTICAL with Long Rail, a new variant of its combat-proven general purpose machine gun designed to accommodate the growing use of day, night, and thermal optics in modern warfare.
The upgrade builds on the long operational history of the FN MAG, a 7.62×51-millimeter NATO machine gun currently fielded by military forces in 90 countries.
